Opening in the summer of 2025, you’ll find us right by the water at Elbakajen, a historic ferry quay in the heart of Västerås. Just a short walk from the central station and the city center — and with Lake Mälaren as our next-door neighbor — The Fishery Färjkajen is your new go-to for well-cooked fish dishes, great value, and a casual, stylish atmosphere.

At The Fishery, we believe that great food should always be great value. Our concept is all about delivering priceworthy dishes – meaning fresh, delicious meals made from scratch every single day, without breaking the bank. We’re passionate about serving the best dishes, our way, drawing flavors from different waters and regions around the world.

The Fishery focuses on fish, obviously. From tacos to fish burgers with international flavors, there’s something for everyone. Our signature dish, the Crispy Fish, is our take on the classic Fish’n Chips — perfectly fried, not too greasy, and served with air-fried Swedish potatoes. And did we mention that it is gluten-free? We will also feature several salads. At The Fishery, we focus on white wines, sparkling wines and delicious cocktails.

At Färjkajen, you’ll sit just a stone’s throw from the water, in a beautifully designed space that blends modern lines with historic character. The restaurant is built on the site of an old timber warehouse from the early 1900s, and parts of the original steel frame are still here — now adorning both the interior and exterior.

Our Västerås restaurant is designed to be a natural gathering place – ideal for a quick, delicious lunch, a relaxed after-work get-together, or a casual dinner.
